Friday, September 5, 2008, 10:00 a.m. - Sunday, September 7, 2008, 4:00 p.m. - Camp Erin San Diego
San Diego Hospice & Palliative Care in partnership with the Moyer Foundation will host the first Camp Erin San Diego.  This is a weekend overnight camp for kids aged 6-17 who have had a loved one die.  It will be a traditional high energy, fun camp combined wtih grief support and education.  We are enthused by the number of families that have shown interest and anticipate a large number of participants.  We also need the help of individuals who will volunteer their time to ensure a great camping experience for the children.  Volunteers must be available the following dates: Orientation Sat. 8/16 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Mon. 8/18 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. & Save Your Spot Pizza Party Tue. 8/26 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. Identification and background checks will be completed on all volunteers.  All volunteers must be age 18 or older.  Not a SD CAMFT Sponsored Event  Questions: Contact Leticia Pileski, LPileski@sdhospice.org, camperin@sdhospice.org, 619.278.6480


Monday, September 8, 2008 - Monthly Bowen Theory Web Cast Conference, 11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. PST
Alliant International University - San Diego and Irvine Campuses
"Live" webcast seminar with Dr. Michael Kerr, Director of the Bowen Center for the Study of the Family, Washington, D.C.  Lecture topics are selected each month by Dr. Kerr.  Monthly "real time" web cast lectures to explicate Bowen theory concepts which conceptualize the family as a network of interlocking relationships.  Occur one Monday a month, 1.5 CEU Credits for MCEP AA Course No. JAC008-0022; MFT/LCSW Course No. PCE 959.
