Advance your skills to effectively work with service members and their families at this professional development workshop for mental health providers in all disciplines. You’ll be inspired by first-hand accounts of service members’ experiences and extraordinary resilience, educated about military culture and how it impacts mental health care, and connected to a wealth of training resources to improve services for the military community. Come to meet other professionals working with active service members, veterans, and their families. Continuing education units offered for licensed professionals (7 hours total).
Dr. Kraft currently treats veterans with PTSD and consults on several military mental health projects. She is a former active duty Navy clinical psychologist and Iraq war veteran. Her book “Rule Number Two” is a memoir of that experience.
Ms. Morrison is CEO and founder of PsychArmor Institute, a nonprofit organization based in San Diego designed to provide education and ongoing support to civilians who work with military and veteran populations. She is also the author of “The Inside Battle: Our Military Mental Health Crisis.”
Col Rabb is VHA director of diversity and inclusion and served 30 years in the Army Reserve and commanded combat stress control units in Iraq and Afghanistan. He has received two Bronze Stars and is featured in the documentary, MindZone
