Health Insurance Special Interest Group(SIG)

You are invited to the inaugural Special Interest Group(SIG) on Health Insurance!

The purpose of the Health Insurance SIG is to provide support for marriage and family therapists who want to expand their business by contracting with health insurance companies as behavioral health providers. Meeting discussions will include how to enroll as a provider with a health insurance company, therapist obligations under the provider agreement/contract, maintaining good client records, submitting claims for reimbursement, what to do if payment is denied, and how to handle audit requests. Further, the latest health insurance industry news will be discussed as it applies to the professional work of an MFT. 

The inaugural meeting will occur on Saturday, Jan 13, 2018 at 10am at the Rancho Penasquitos Branch Library in the Community Room, 13330 Salmon River Rd, San Diego, CA 92129.  The room has an occupancy of 175, so no limit on the attendees and NO registration is required. This event is free. We look forward to seeing everyone there!
