The purpose of the Health Insurance SIG is to provide support for marriage and family therapists who want to expand their business by contracting with health insurance companies as behavioral health providers. Meeting discussions will include how to enroll as a provider with a health insurance company, therapist obligations under the provider agreement/contract, maintaining good client records, submitting claims for reimbursement, what to do if payment is denied, and how to handle audit requests. Further, the latest health insurance industry news will be discussed as it applies to the professional work of an MFT. All San Diego CAMFT members are welcome to attend!

SIG Meetings are free to attend and are open to members and non-members with all levels of experience!
