ABOUT SAN DIEGO CAMFT
The Mission of the San Diego Chapter of CAMFT is to call together and support members of our profession in southern San Diego County and to support the objectives and purpose of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists. As a chapter of CAMFT with more than 250 members, we are an inclusive and welcoming community of therapists dedicated to supporting the interests of Marriage & Family Therapists and allied professionals in San Diego County. Our aim is to maintain high ethical standards and skills to our members through networking and professional development, and to expand the recognition and awareness of the profession within the San Diego community.
To that end we endeavor to do the following: 1) provide a variety of educational opportunities spanning the range of professional, technical and scientific research as well as emerging and best-practices interventions; 2) provide educational experiences at a low cost to the member while still providing above typical amenities; 3) bring together the mental health community around our common goals and clients and work towards serving them better; and 4) assist the mental health community and our membership in self-care and the process of introspection which leads to better clinicians and community partners.
If you are a therapist or other helping professional, join us! We strive to be a community that informs, advocates, and empowers our members in being respected and successful. We still have open Board and Committee positions and invite you to help make us a stronger team! See our Board page for more info.
Wishing you wellness,
